Re: Things to do in Orlando????
Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure - two theme parks WDWs competition
Citi Walk located at above restaurants and nightclubs
Kennedy Space Center
Mini golf courses
Seaworld
Aquatica the new waterpark from Seaworld
Discovery Cove
Beaches
A few malls as well as outlet shopping
There are dinner shows such as Arabian Nights and Medival Times
Orlando has a ton of great restaurants - what kind of food are you interested in eating.
Pleasure Island - Clubs/nightlife from Disney
Downtown Orlando for bars
seafood...we want to try puerto rican, cuban cuisines.
and of course cheap but really good food!
I always recommend Seasons 52 for eating. GREAT FOOD!
For things to do it depends on what you like. There are obviously all the park. There is some great outlet shopping to be done. There are nearby beaches if that isn't the norm for you. There are fun touristy places like gatorland and I drive. Kennedy space center is a short drive away as well. In the evenings both City Walk and Downtown Disney offer fun walking, people watching and great dining, of the two I prefer Downtown Disney.
I would highly recommend checking out Winter Park. The Wine Room is awesome. They also have some good restaurants on Park Avenue. For Cuban food, try Rolando's on 436. It's hit or miss but it's not bad food either way. STAY AWAY from Bongo's if you like Cuban food - they are horrible. The mini golf courses are pretty awesome around here - not gonna lie Seafood - try Bonefish Grill on restaurant row in Sand Lake - it's very good food and I don't like seafood. Timpanos and Samba room on Sand Lake are also AMAZING. Samba Room has the Cuban flair for sure.
When I drive down OBT today, I'll look for those big driveable food carts with the flashing lights on it for Puerto Rican food. I see them all the time out there. I haven't stopped at one before, but they're always busy, so they must be good.
