Halak played extremely well! There isn't much a team can do when they come up against a hot goalie in the playoffs.  I was pulling for the Caps and hated to see them lose.  Now, I want the Habs to take out the Penguins!!

Of course. But I don't like any of the Philadelphia sports teams anyway.

 

The Devils mentally checked out after Game 2 of that series. They do it to themselves, every single time.

actually there is a lot you can do if you bring your A game. but unfortunately, on top of halak having a good couple of games, the caps royally sucked on the power play, fluttered their defense ::again::, and played desperate hockey instead of hitting precision plays. don't get me wrong, i love the caps, but they really didn't deserve to move on with the way they were playing.

Tell that to the 1986 Calgary Flames who came up against Patrick Roy his rookie year with the Canadiens.  Roy played unbelievable those playoffs and took them all the way to the cup. 

I agree there are some things you can do, but a hot goalie will steal a series for a team.  Can it take them all the way to the cup, not usually...but it can happen.

hot goalies are fine, but halak is really not the big reason why the caps lost the series.
