Tell me about these baskets!
They are really interesting but I'm reading so much that I'm totally lost. Could be my blonde, mommy-brain acting up.

What they are is a food co-op. They find the best/cheapest/inseason produce .
They pass along the savings to us...in the form of a basket (well really you have to bring your own)
So on Saturday's they have a pickup and there are half fruits and half veggies in them they are all supplied by smaller farms so we are supporting the good farms!

yup, your first basket is $19.50 then after that it is 15 (or it might be 16, you'll have to ask jaye)

no you don't get to pick ,but there is always lettuce and I think bananas?
But most of it isn't that off the wall but it also makes you venture out!
After the first basket it's $16.50 (there is a $1.50 handling fee or whatever)
I love getting "weird" things...it expands me and DHs horizons. I'm finding things that I like that I would never have tried. Plus it's fun. Last night I made homemade roasted tomato sauce and the salsa verde I did on Monday night with the stuff from the mexipack.
