Getting rid of bugs on orchid
There are tiny white furry bugs on our indoor orchid. We'll get all of them off, and then more show up. We're not sure what they are, but my husband was thinking maybe aphids. Any ideas for getting rid of them?
Re: Getting rid of bugs on orchid
White and furry sounds like mealybugs. They lay eggs in the dirt they're planted in.
You should get them all off and re-pot the orchid (wash pot well - I'd actually scrub the pot down with a sturdy brush and rubbing alcohol and rinse it - or just get a new pot, use new soil and double bag & toss old soil).
Should take care of it.
