I like Almond milk! I think I'm lactose intolerant, so I'm exploring alternatives. In fact, I brought some for my cereal today. You're right-it doesn't have a funny aftertaste like soy. I've made lattes with it, but it's super light and almost water-y tasting. But the vanilla one is super yum. My next venture is Rice Milk which I've heard is good.
Pacific brand is super local, too, so I buy their brand of non daity milk (as well as their broths).
Learning to start all over again... Blog
We love it. Especially the vanilla flavored. I think it tastes like a milk shake
I use it in my oatmeal most often, but it's great plain too!
I have been wanting to try it...perhaps I will pick some up on Sunday now that I have had some convincing!
SD: jealous that Pacific is local to you - I
their creamy tomato and butternut squash soups, and the 1-cup portions of broth!
It's delicious when homemade.

Almond "hummus" or almond cookies/crackers. Some good ideas here...

Yeah, it made me gag as well.
My DD just eats the almond pulp
Sometimes plain, sometimes mixed in with her oatmeal or yogurt.
I love almond milk - it is usually the only "milk" that I will drink. I usually buy the unsweetened Almond Breeze.
I can't have the slightest amount of animal milk, as I am extremely lactose intolerant (I don't get a little gassy or something, I get very sick). As I am vegetarian, there is already more than enough soy in my diet, so I prefer not to use soy milk.
Plus, almond milk seems to blend smoother into coffee and I love the taste. I don't remember cow's milk ever tasting that good!!
I've never tried hemp milk, maybe I should give it a shot?
I'm not a fan of rice milk - when I've tried it is seems too sweet and watery.
I think I'll have a tough time straying from my almond milk. I just wish that there was almond yogurt!
Ugh, god, no doubt. However, I did try the "hummus" and though it's obviously not the same as regular hummus, it's still a good dip!
Oh, shoot! I forgot to mention that I don't use agave but do use raw honey. It turns out awesome.
Downside to almond milk= only 1gm protein/8-oz
Regular milk= 8gm protein/8-oz
Not very filling.
