WWYD? (or expect done?)

I received my wedding album 3 weeks ago- yay!  It's gorgeous and I was so excited to show it off. It came in the timeframe that was promised.

Then, I realized it was missing a full page. I went back to my e-proof to confirm and contacted my phhotog. They said this has "never happened". So, I returned the book so that they could send it back to the binders to either have the page added or remake the book.  It has been with them for just over a week and there is still no estimated date that it will be back to me.

I am aware that mistakes happen and am not upset. But, I am frustrated, mostly by the fact that I had the book and had to give it back.  So, my question is, should I expect anything to make up for my frustration and their error?

I would ask if they are going to be able to re-bind it or completely remake it. If they can't add the page I would request that you receive the original book at no cost since they will just toss it out anyhow. Plus, if they are going to have to totally remake the book I would request that I keep the book missing a page to show off in the mean time.

For me fixing the error is enough.

Well you can ask them to give you the wrong book but honestly they really don't have to do more than give you the correct album and say "sorry."  Hopefully everything will be fixed soon & anything extra will be a happy surprise.

This actually makes me feel better. My photog and his staff were SO accomodating (one of the staff people came out to my work to pick up the album so that I didn't ahve to take it back to the studio!) & they are fixing it.  I just wasn't sure if it warranted "making it up to me".  Point made.  It doesn't.  I hope I get it back soon, though because I am impatiently waiting to show it off!
