My in-laws are coming in a couple weeks, and DH & I are trying to figure out some things to go do with them. They're not really outdoors kind of people, as MIL has some health issues which prevent her from walking for long periods of time. Like she's okay with wandering around a mall for a bit, but not going on a 2 hour hike, or something like that.
Anyway, DH & I are still relatively new, and haven't gotten out nearly as much as we would have liked. So what are some of your favorite places to take visitors?
I did write down the places that Erin had suggested to Stacy, but other than that... I'm kind of clueless.
Thanks for any help you ladies can provide this "tour director"!
Re: Things to do?
Would a casino be tacky? They just built a brand new, beautiful casino in Scottsdale near Talking Stick golf course.
Also, there is a fun little ferry boat tour at Saguaro Lake, you could follow up with lunch or dinner overlooking the lake.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
I always recommend the drive up South Mountain. It would be an "outdoorsey" sort of thing you could do with them that wouldn't require any walking (just getting out at the top to look at the views, which really only takes a few minutes). And I always think it's a really impressive thing for out of towners to see and do.
Have fun, and let us know what you end up doing!
