SO EXCITED for fresh local produce

OMG it seems like years since I've had fresh, local produce even though it's only been 6 months.  Our Farmer's Market kicks off their summer season tomorrow, with fresh free-range chicken, pork, and beef, plus strawberries, asparagus, sugar snap peas, spring onions, lettuce, chinese cabbage, and radishes.  WHOOO HOOO for local produce!  We're doing Mother's Day a week early this year (so this Sunday), I'm gonna make my mom Wild Alaskan Salmon (her fav, and a "best choice" on the seafood watch list), wild rice, and asaparagus, with ice cream topped with strawberries.  ::drool::

Plus, I'm taking her to an organic gardening class at her local wildlife center, it's gonna be AWESOME.  I hope they teach me how to transplant tomatoes, that's next up on my gardening to-do list.  All our seedlings survived this year!  Hooray!

[I'm in a good mood, can you tell? Stick out tongue]

Anyone else planning on doing something special this weekend?
