I'm *that* neighbor

The house two down from us was on the market last fall.  I never saw a sold sign, but the for sale sign went away before winter.  No one lives there.  Back in February, there was a dumpster there and some work was being done in the house.  Great, we thought maybe we were going to finally get new neighbors.

Nope.  The dumpster went away, no one ever moved in.

No one ever mowed the lawn.

Last week I noticed the lawn was nearly a foot tall and was full of weeds and limbs from a storm.  I also noticed we were getting a heck of a lot more dandelions than we usually have.

So I called the city.

They finally mowed it today.  I think they could use some new mower blades.  Oh well, at least it's mowed!

Re: I'm *that* neighbor

  • We have some empty lots near us that get pretty bad. Luckily one of the neighbors sometimes mows them over if the developer is too lazy/old/tired to come out. Good news though that 2 of the lots recently sold and one has a basement dug out! Excited that there will be more people living near us!
