OK, please don't think I'm weird or a stalker, but I couldn't keep quiet about this anymore. I've been lurking on this board for about a week now because I am relocating to Phoenix in the fall and I've been trying to get to know what's going on with your ladies so I can get an idea of what life is like. And I now think you are my Phoenix Doppleganger (or maybe I'm your California Doppleganger?).
Anyway, my name is Jaye, too, so it completely threw me off the first time I came over to this board to see someone paging me. When I clicked on the link it was about homemade deodorant and not using paper towels anymore. I run an eco-living blog, make my own deodorant, and don't use paper towels. In fact, I have an Etsy shop where I sell unPaper Towels and cloth wipes. So I seriously thought for some reason this person was talking to me until I saw your reply. So now I've been reading your blog and I love it! It's actually making me very excited to move to Phoenix knowing there are like-minded people, co-ops, and someone else who's life was changed by The Business of Being Born there. I never doubted that there was, but it's nice to find someone right away like you so I can follow your blog and start getting some ideas.
You're also the first female Jaye I've ever met! And I suppose if I start posting over here more often I'll have to create a nick-name for myself since I can imagine it would get very confusing with two of us over here, especially since we seem to have a lot in common.
Re: ***Jaye***
OMG you will not believe this...
Maybe about a year ago I was surfing another board ( I wish I remember which one...it might have even been on TK) and saw someone page **Jaye**. So I did the same thing, swooping in and figuring out that it wasn't me It was YOU. I think I paged you on that board to have a good laugh about our unique names, but it wasn't your regular board and I never heard back. Too funny though!
This is totally awesome though! We sound to be so much alike, it's just uncanny!
When you move down we'll have to have a Jaye Meet-up...I guess we can invite everyone else too
And...now that I've looked at your blog, I'm having another good chuckle. I've been reading your blog for awhile now. I found it through another eco-friendly blog. You are so inspirational!
That is so crazy that you found me before. I can't believe we haven't run into each other yet... TK's kind of a small world in some ways.
We definitely need a Jaye GTG (and invite everyone else) in September! I'd love to meet you ladies, this seems like a great group. And I won't know too many people there so it'll be nice to meet some more.
So now I just have to think of a clever nickname for myself. Maybe I'll just be "Other Jaye" or "O-Jaye". Haha!
And thank you for the compliments on the blog! I've been neglecting it lately because I'm going through a separation and just haven't had the energy to deal with that along with everything else that's going on. But come June when I'm settled in my temporary home (a cabin in the middle of the woods in Wisconsin) I'll get back into it!
Maybe Jaye1 and Jaye2?? Some of my friends seriously get a kick out of calling me Jaye Fay all the time. We'll work it out, don't you worry!
I'm so sorry to hear about your tough time...Sometimes life gets in the way of itself, and we just have to take a step back. But a cabin in the woods? That is really neat! What a way to be more in tune with yourself an nature!
