Lots and lots done this weekend
We completely re-vamped the bed along the west side of our house - removed the stone "mulch" that had existed, removed all the plants we wanted to get rid off (most of the bed.. we left a rose bush and a hosta cluster), dug up the stumps from the 2 trees that had seeded themselves there and then added in 21 new plants: 2 more hostas, 2 columbine, 6 bell flower and 11 bee balm.

We also re-touched the chicken wire around the garden bed and planted early seeds and transplants. I also added the last of the perennials to the front walkway.
More pics and details in blog.
Re: Lots and lots done this weekend
Nice!! You guys had a busy weekend.
We did a lot this weekend too but no blog updates yet
Sidenote: I love that pic of your curlies...they look like they are smiling!
I just bought Columbine for my back border garden around our deck. I didn't get a chance to plant them because we discovered a wasp's nest so we have to get rid of that first. It seems like that's the only thing that will grow back there.
I love your garden blog! Definitely adding it to the reader.
