Ok, I know the kleenex hand towels have been talked about a lot over here, but now Kimbery-Clark is claiming that their hand towels are more sanitary than an air dryer

The article also led me to a lovely video by Kimberly-Clark, where they also claim that hand towels are a sustainable option, because their superior absorbency produces less waste and they can also squeeze a lot of their product into the same truck.

I especially like the part where they did a survey of people, who said that linen hand towels are dirty. Not an actual study that says they are unhygienic, but because the people in the survey "considered" them unhygienic, they must be.
Re: I have no words
So disgusting!
Ugh, ITA.
I HATE that commercial. It is SO stupid...them claiming that a regular towel is not as sanitary.
Hmmm...if you just washed your hands, your hands are clean, and you are using the towel to dry them. So the towel is still clean for the next time you use it.
I agree! I think all the talking about desinfection is way to much!!! How did people survive a few years ago without Lysol or hand sanatizer??? Just wash your hands regularly and the same with the towels and you'll be fine!
While obviously air dryers are more eco friendly because there is no waste, my brother's ex was in a microbiology class and they were learning about hand air dryers and after experimenting, they learned it actually isn't as hygienic as a towel because the air dryer circulates the bacteria in the public bathroom around in the air. This is just a typical air dryer, not the fancy dyson one.
That being said, I despise Kimberly Clarke.
