I'm paying my son 5 cents for every slug he finds in my strawberry patch.... Hopefully the rains didn't do a lot of damage to my garden.

Once he gets board of that you might try the beer trick.  Bury up to it's lip a wide mouth container and fill it with beer.  It was disgusting how many of those suckers I caught (and drowned) the first afternoon.  That night was even better.  DH wasn't happy about my use of his beer though so I'm going to have to go purchase some cheaper stuff for future tries.  With the size of your strawberry patch you'll probably need more that one container because I don't know how far they will travel for the booze.

AGH! I have one in my strawberries too. That sucker has migrated to my spinach too. I'm going to battle today.

lol!  i'd try sprinkling diatomatious earth, or crushed eggshells around the plants.

I second the beer trick.  They LOVE that.  Offer to pay him like a quarter to empty it, because it will be gross.
