Carpenter Ants

Anyone have any success with an in-store product to get rid of carpenter ants?

Re: Carpenter Ants

  • A lot of people have recommended Terro Ant Baits.  I haven't tried it because I can't seem to find it.
  • I don't know about carpenter ants, but terro is fabulous with regular ants.  If you have pets or young children thought, use terro with caution, it's not contained and is poisonous to them as well.  You can find terro at a hardware store, I've bought mine at both Home Depot and Ace.
  • They have a few products for carpenter ants.  I emailed the company and their liquid bait and waterproof powder is safe around pets and kids---it's just boron and a sweetener.  Not condoning eating it....Big Smile, but it's not poison like others.

Not sure what their carpenter ant stuff consists of, however.

They are quick to answer email and  can't say enough how fantastic their liquid bait works.  Thumbs up.
