How was your weekend?
Not necessarily a full-recap, but did you do anything fun or interesting? Are you working on any big projects right now?

I 2nd shot a wedding this weekend near Houston on Saturday (10 hours of shooting, 5 hours of driving), then on Sunday I ran my first 5K (the Bun Run) and made it without stopping to walk. Then we had brunch with friends, took a nap, our annual neighborhood picnic in the afternoon, and a concert at Stubb's (Tallest Man on Earth) last night (didn't start until 11pm).
I'm exhausted! We're going to Marfa, TX this weekend to hopefully see the Marfa Lights.
Awesome.
We came down to Austin, did some volunteer work out at Mary Moore Seabright (or whatever) park... shoveling mulch for the trails and helping build fences, then had lunch outside downtown and I got a 2-hour massage at milk + honey, had dinner with my parents, and then met up with friends at Red's Porch for beers. Sunday we met up with friends at flip happy crepes (YUM) and headed out of town... AND the dogs slept the whole way home which was awesome.
Perfect weekend.

I went to the most awesome backyard concert Saturday night. Apparently a couple around the corner has concerts every few weeks in their backyard just for fun! And I met a super-cool/ talented artist.
Sunday I painted my entryway copper. I may be in over my head though bc after doing some research, the metallic finish I bought is going to be a total PITA to apply. I hope it turns out well!

Oh cool! Tell him thanks and I hope he found some stuff! We are packed to the gills right now.
We went to a family reunion in Dallas. It was totally awesome getting to see all my extended family (most live in Georgia and Connecticut)--we only get to see them all once every few years. And YAY for them all getting to meet DD for the first time! And she was a total champ the entire weekend dealing with being pretty much off her routine and constantly surrounded by craziness. But even so, being around 20+ other people all day every day got tiring by the end. We had a GREAT time and were still really glad to be coming home.
