Recomm. Birth Control Pill

I am looking for a birth control pill that is less likely to cause bad head aches. I am currently taking Loestrin 24 F e. I don't get bad head aches any more but my period last 2 weeks. I have been taking it for 2 months and it has been the same both months.

TIA

Re: Recomm. Birth Control Pill

  • This is something you really need to talk to gyno about. It will take awhile to find a birth control that works for you, what gives you headaches may not give someone else a headache and the opposite. If you check out planned parenthood it gives a list of various birth control pills. Everyone's body is different so you will just have to try different types until you get one that works for you. Keep in mind that it may take a few cycles for your body to adjust. bottom line contact your gyno and discuss this with them, they may be able to help you over the phone but you will need to contact them.

  • I dont know about the headaches but but me and about half of my girlfriends are all on the nuva ring and we love it.Ive been on it four 5 years now and its been controlling my endometriosis really well. Also you should talk to your doc about possibly switching to a period every 3 months (you can do this with the nuva ring or several other BC pills) Once i switched to four periods a year i noticed my symptoms got lessoned exp. head aches, length of period, cramps
  • I'm on the tri-sprintec- generic brand for ortho tri cyclen. Works great. First and only one I've been on... the best part? It's less than $10/month at Walmart. I haven't really had any side effects from it either. GL
