white vinegar as fabric softener
I think I have seen a couple of you post that you do this. How much vinegar do you use? And is it possible to add anything to it to make a nice scent linger afterward?

Re: white vinegar as fabric softener
If you want a nice smell, you can put a couple drops of essential oil on a cloth in the dryer (if you use the dryer).
I don't use anything for fabric softener - it's fine if I don't over dry.
Me too.
I put lavender EO in the vinegar jug, and it smells good when I pour it out but I can't smell it on the clothes at all after they are washed and dried.
Ah, I know what you mean. Jeff had me use unscented Dr. B's when we made our homemade detergent, so I don't get any yummy clean clothes scent. I wish the clean clothes scent came in an eco-friendly oil. : )
you're not alone! i did exactly what pp mentioned and mine came out VERY crispy, multiple times (HE front loader)
