how are you guys liking your Reel Mower?  We're tossing around the idea of getting one for our small courtyard area and the area behind the apartment behind our house.  That way I could mow while Elise is outside with me.  Does it shoot things out like a regular mower?  I wouldn't think it would.  Does it work well?

Our reel mower is ok for our yard. If you let the grass grow to tall it will jam every 2 feet, and you'll have to mow it 3 times at different heights. It doea have a grass catcher that will catch most of the cuttings. I don't know if I would reccomend it in LA since the grass grows so fast. I'm afraid you'd have to mow every two or three days

My grandpa used to have one of these, and I've never heard him curse more than when he tried to cut the grass around his house with it. I would not suggest getting one down here. Gas push mower = the best Christmas present we ever gave him. Haha.

Good to know.  We have a gas mower, so we'll just stick with it.
