Re: So Excited about Bountiful Basket
oh it is so awesome! i am glad you guys are splitting it. I am doing the same iwth my mom because that is just so much for just CJ and I I can't wiat to make eggplant parm next week haha i already am starting my meal planning...
where in the valley are you located?
I'm kind of excited about this too! Hopefully I can talk Carl into Eggplant Parm if they have the eggplant, haha! WTG Shan! Way to stay on top of this.. Cause I suck!
We're off the 17 and Bell.
Is it normal to be charged a 1.50 handling fee? *nm I found it on their site
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Yea, the $1.50 handling fee you will be charged every week or every time you order a basket. and then for your first time there is the $3.00 join in fee
Right on. I am so excited for you guys to get your first basket
CJ was just asking yesterday if i would make chicken parm next week and so when i saw the italian pack i was so excited and i asked CJ if it was ok if instead of chicken parm we did eggplant and he was open to it Good luck with Carl if you get some
mmmmmm chicken parm... I love me some Chicken Parm... All thanks to Shannon :-)
you're welcome! I think carl will be alright with the eggplant parm. eggplant is soooo good. i like it roasted in pasta too
You've got to have us to your house and make chicken parm... haha! That way I don't have you in my house cooking chicken parm. There is something not right about that :-P
He didn't like his $50 eggplant parm that he had when he was with that other chick but hopefully, I can convert him....
yeah usually if you invite someone to your house, they don't cook! hahaha. i know i know. you guys will come over soon. i suck.
Question- what do I bring to pick up my stuff? Is a reusable grocery bag ok? I have a few of those.
Oh, and do I need to bring my order confirmation email or anything?
Our BB fills an entire laundry basket, so if you are going to use bags, bring A LOT.
They didn't ask us for our confirmation receipt, they just have your name on a check sheet. But its a good idea to bring it in case there is some kind of mix up.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
this last week i took 3 of the fry's reuseable grocery bags and i flled them up so either way you should be good... i took four just in case but i only needed three, but this week i have a rolly card baskt thing so make it a little easier
this is all year round. It is just the produce you get depends on what is in season i can't wait until you are out here either
I'm SO excited for this week! I'm also thinking of doing eggplant parm
Last weekend was ridiculous because we picked up our basket and my Mums...we had an overflowing laundry basket plus we had to hand carry a bunch too. You get so much produce it's crazy.
Can I just say how absolutely amazed I am that so many of you caught on to this after we talked about it a few weeks ago.
It really does go to show that people do get excited about stuff like this.
I had heard about it and was always "shy" i guess you could say because CJ is such a picky eater when it comes to veggies. growing up for him the veggies in his diet consisted of canned corn and canned green bean. nothing against his mom that is just what they were used too. I was brought up to at least try things once but the things my mom didn't like we didn't eat. so now that i am building my own life with CJ and we are growing as our own family unit i wanted to set the foundation for healthier eating habits before we have kids. So once i saw you and a couple others had joined i wanted to pick your brains to get the in's and out's and i am pleasantly surprised with how open CJ has been to all this new cuisine i have been introducing to him lately. Seriously thank you ladies for all you assitance and advice in getting me to join BB
DH volunteered and came home with a ridiculous amount of produce. He had half an apple box full of apples, a flat of blackberries, 2 honeydews, 2 cantolopes, 3 bundles of spinach, 4 artichokes, a boatload of tomatillos, and a ton of whatever else they had.
It seriously paid off for him to volunteer for an hour and a half for all that produce.

That is awesome!!!! i was going to scope things out at my location to see how busy they were and if they needed extra volunteers. that is awesome you got all the extra!

That is awesome! what site do you go to? I go to cotton lane/greenway because it is about minutes form my house
that's the one that jess would go to also, but it's 7am and mine is 8 so i told her i'd pick it up
thats cool. CJ and I are usually up pretty early...6:30 is sleeping in for us haha so the 7 am pick up works perfectly. but 8 is probably nice too especially when you have little ones are you so excited for you first basket?
