As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Childcare prices in northern VA
Hello all,
I am new to the Arlington/Alexandria area and would love to get some information about the cost of childcare here. My husband and I would like to start a family soon but we just want to make sure that we are budgeting appropriately. Any thoughts or links to websites would be really helpful.

We pay about $1400/month for a day care center, which is pretty average, I think. In-home day care is usually a lot cheaper, though.
You might want to post this on the DC board--I think Arlington/Alexandria nesties are there much more often. Good luck, and good for you for planning ahead--it's such a huge expense!
