XP: Beverage Dispenser???

image

If so, do you use it a lot, or was it a waste of money?

I'd love to have one for this weekend when we have people over for my H's graduation party. I'd either have sangria or tea in it. We love entertaining, and I frequently serve sweet tea, but I don't know if it's really worth it. (FWIW, I would only be spending $20-$30 on it...I don't know exactly what one I would get or where from.)

Re: XP: Beverage Dispenser???

  • Personally, I wouldn't get much use out of it but since you serve sweet tea frequently, I say go for it.  Ironically, as I opened this post a Martha Stewart commercial played on the radio and she mentioned beverage dispensers on a laundry list things for the perfect party, lol.  It's a sign!
  • I have 2 of these from Crate & Barrel: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=4350&f=32882

Will I use them often?  Probs not, but for $40 total, I think they're worth it.

  • I have 2, and I have used them at various times for entertaining.  I think they are great for serving beverages.  I also use mine to make infused vodka.  Smile
  • I have two and love having them.  They're great for big crowds.

I got mine at TJ Maxx for $17 each and their metal stands aren't level, so I have to just set them on the edge of a table.

  • I have the following ones. I personally use them weekly with all the entertaining I do. Since I got them at Bed Bath & Beyond, they were pretty inexpensive with coupons...

Ok, this is total rambling... be warned...I'm a beverage dispenser geek.  I love seeing nice ones in stores, and consider buying every one that I see, b/c I think they're so great to have.  (even Martha thinks they're a must apparantly!)  But I don't buy it b/c that means I'd have to store it and I just don't have the space for it.  I recently saw this one at BBB for $30, and with a $10 coupon, I could justify the $20 cost.  I thought that I could use it for a bridal shower that I'm co-hosting later this year.  But then I imagined a pretty beverage display with different soda bottles, sparking juices and bottled water with removed labels could look lovely as well.  So, I'm still on the fence.  Not sure if this helps, but wanted to let you know that someone else is having is contemplating the same purchase.

  • I have 3 and I use them ALL the time.  We frequently entertain, so these are very handy.  I say go for it!
  • I am would love one. I think that is something that you will use for many years.
  • FYI, you really couldn't do Sangria because you wouldn't be able to get the fruit out, and you are supposed to eat the fruit that has soaked up all the alcohol.
  • I purchased this one last spring, and we've got tons of use out of it--more than originally anticipated. I thought it was fun to have instead of using plastic pitchers/jugs for homemade lemonade and iced tea.
