Ballpark price for childcare?
Hi there,
Moving to SD in December and we're trying to work on the change in our budget. I was looking for a ballpark or general idea of what childcare might cost a month.
We're moving to Escondido (so north county) and DD is 4. She was in La Petite and we really like that. We would look for a private place similar to La Petite (if not a LP) or a small pre-school at a nice church.
Thanks for the help with the general idea.

Re: Ballpark price for childcare?
Ballpark would be $1,000/month.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
FInally someone moving to my part of the county!!
Start looking NOW for childcare options. It is fairly limited in Escondido for "chain style" child care but there are a few churches in the area that offer day care if you dont mind them being exposed to religion. Also look in San Marcos and Vista for options.
I know that one of my co-workers was paying about $200 a week (this was 3 years ago) for a day care place in Vista (Vista/San Marcos border). Nothing fancy (basic playground, licensed, etc) and it was at a church.
What part of Escondido are you moving to? I would be glad to help you out with any information that you might need.
