my new paper saving idea at work!
We print a lot of one-sided stuff that ends up in the recycle bin. I try to use it as scratch paper but always forget about it in a file, and I really like notepads. So now I've been taking a stack of printed copies, turning to the blank side and stapling them together for a homemade notepad! Its working well and I am using less paper!
Re: my new paper saving idea at work!
I currently do this at work, everyone thinks I'm crazy.
I think it a great idea, try use them instead of post-it notes

My mom always did this growing up (and still does) with junk mail. It used to drive me crazy! I wanted cute notepads with my name or monogram on it.
Now I do it too!

Where I worked in college, they used to collect all of the discarded one-sided documents and send them to out to get made into 1/4-sheet notepads (attached at one end with that gummy rubbery stuff...I don't know what the process is called). They stopped paying to have the pads made, but we saved as much of the paper as we could and used it for scratch (and offered it to students to use).
At my current job, practically every paper we touch is proprietary information, so it all goes in the shredder bins. Hopefully they at least recycle it after it's been shredded...
We have our copy center do thi for us at work all the time-it's a great idea for recycled paper!
