Pls critique co-ed shower menu
This is a co-ed afternoon baby shower, so I need to feed our guests and have something appealing to all.
Here's what I have so far:
- wings
- chicken salad w/ croissants
- meatballs in sauce
- maybe grilled sausage
- sliders
- pasta salad
- broccoli salad
- chips & dips
- watermelon carved out with fruit
- cake pops
- small cake
What else do I need or what do I need to remove? Thanks!
Re: Pls critique co-ed shower menu
Since this is a warm weather thing (I assume you're not planning for a shower in November lol), I'd skip the meatballs. I know they're popular up north, but they seem like a distinctly wintery food to me. Grilled sausage, chicken salad, side salads and fruit all seem very summery to me. If a slider is a baby hamburger, then I think you can skip the wings and the meatballs - too much meat.
I think your sides are good. I'd do either cake pops or a cake, not both. Maybe add in cookies or brownies if you want a second dessert.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
- wings (b/c we might get them free but I'll cross them out if we don't get them)
- chicken salad w/ croissants
- grilled sausage
- sliders
- pasta salad
- broccoli salad
- chips & dips (including a bean dip and 2 other dips)
- veggies & dip
- watermelon carved out with fruit
- cake pops
- sugar cookies
And cool about the free wings!
