Hooray for TIGER football tomorrow!!!!
USC looked rough the first half. That was about the most boring 2 quarters I've ever sat through. But Smelley looked pretty good second half. (Sadly).
DH is a USC fan (die-hard), and I'm a Clemson fan. It makes for an interesting football season. I need to hear from my other Tigers, please! How excited are you for tomorrow night?!
PS - any thoughts on the push-up fiasco? I thought that was quite a tacky display. Hadn't seen a college football player act like that since...well...last season.

the push up call was a BS call! He wasn't showing off anything- what REALLY was there to show off?? he was simply punishing himself for not catching something he felt he should've caught...and I honestly believe he thought the quarter was over- but the stupid judge called it b/c one second was left. those judges really grated my nerves on some of the stuff.
I don't care too much either way about the Clemson game. I'll watch bc
I follow Clemson and their stats. but I'ma tad torn. On one hand I don't want Clemson to win (obviously as a USC fan) b/c the worse any team does and the better USC does- the better the rank obviously (they're rivals!). But also I kind of want a home team to win no matter if their MY team or not...ya know?? and if clemson does well and USC beats them then thats better for USC...so I don't know what I feel about it.
The game was kind of boring in the first half but that's because USC had that freshman playing... Smelley did great- stepped up nicely to the occasion. Hopefully he will continue to. It's also because USC has a good defense (therefore no scores were made by NC) but the freshman lacked the gumption USC needs in offense (always been our weekness) so hopefully Smelley has learned this whole offense lesson and will continue to push us upward!

Ok, Ron Cherry is the worst ref in the history of college sports.
That might've been an extreme statement...
But how obnoxious are his calls?! He is so dang deliberate with every single thing he does. We were all making fun of him last night. Have you every watched his "Giving him the business" call on you tube? Seriously, google it. It's hilarious.
The push-ups thing wasn't really showing off, but what would possess you to do that? It was so stupid, and it totally disrupted the game. I don't think the call was BS - even though it wasn't celebration. But I don't think it was that big a deal.
I hope Clemson KILLS Alabama. Alabama fans (in my experience) are SUPER obnoxious. We went to a USC vs. Alabama game, and I'd never seen anything like it. They're up there with Tennessee and Georgia fans. Boooo....
I went to the game last night!!! VERY SLOW MOVING! I seriously thought the first half would never end. I love the Gamecocks, but it really wasn't very exciting until after halftime. Plus, the humidity and lack of a breeze kinda made me cranky..... All in all I think they're going to have a good year. The defense was outstanding. And, everyone else got better as the game went on. It seemed like everyone kinda had to shake off their nerves or something.
I missed the whole push up thing. I think I was in line for the bathroom or something.....
I don't like Alabama and I don't like Clemson but I would much rather see Clemson win. I guess it's the whole "it's a school in SC" thing. And, Bama fans are terrible. I agree, they're right up there with Georgia and Tennessee....
