If the money fairy came out of the sky...

...and gave you $500 with no strings attached, what would you spend it on?

(I have pay day fever.  Less than 12 hours!)

Re: If the money fairy came out of the sky...

  • SPA DAY WITH OBLIGATORY STARBUCKS RUN.  I need a spa day in the worst way.  Mani, Pedi, micro/peel, facial, massage and eyebrows.
  • Ooh!  Fun!

I'd like to go with supplies to make a bed using the plans from Knock Off Wood (we currently don't have a frame and it drives me a little nutso).  If I could swing some paint for the bathroom and kitchen (walls and cabinets for both), and/or some new frames and prints too (since all of my big photos from the old house are too big for the new house), that would be amazing.

  • I've been thinking about this exact amount, actually.  We're supposed to get a bonus as soon as we settle a big case next week so I've been fantasizing about it, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be a jerk and put the money into cleaning the brick exterior of the building, which makes me really mad. Angry

Anyway, I really really need to replace my front tires and to get my prescription updated on my glasses.  But after that, yarn, delicious silk or cashmere yarn.

  • I'd save it for the honeymoon but if I had to spend it right away I would throw a big bbq for my friends. We've all been really busy lately and haven't gotten to see each other much (not like there's a lot of us) but I'd buy beer, steaks, make some nice sides and a dessert. And if there was any money left over I'd buy another pair of easy tone sneakers for work!

  • I'd buy a unicorn.  Yeah, a unicorn for sure.

  • For under $500?  You must have the mad connections!

:)  I thought that was pretty cool, too, and also felt a little guilty.

But then I thought about a body scrub and I was back to being selfish.

  • I'd put it towards upgrading our electrical service since the bid is about $800 higher than we thought it would be.
  • LOL, I just thought that I need to really unwind right now and I would really like to do it with beer and friends, so really I was thinking about me ha!

  • Clothes!!!  I need new clothes badly.  I was going threw my closet the other day and have summer shirts from 3 years ago....what the what?  I need to have a little shopping spree for me and if my husband is lucky he might get something too :)

  • Ugh.  Sadly, I'd do either 1 of 2 things: save it or blow it all at a casino! :)  If it was more than $500, I'd probably save it all, but $500 wouldn't make too much of a dent in our student loans, so I'd probably blow it.  Maybe I'd have killer luck at the casino and double it, then I'd save it!  Haha!

  • I would buy clothes too. I dont think I've bought clothes since before the wedding all of my money went to the wedding:( it was way worth it though.

    Um Ditto....

  • Our master bathroom renovation! Probably on higher quality tile than we can afford now.

Clothes!!!! I need new work clothes in the worst way, especially if I end up working in a bank again. I haven't had to wear a suit in 2 years, and I've gained about 15 pounds since then. Embarrassed
