A girl on WC mentioned a morning sickness remedy called 'sea bands' has anyone heard of these or have any info on them?
Morning sickness is one of my biggest fears, I hate nausea with a passion.
Re: Pregnancy question
They are wristbands that you would use for motion sickness when on the water. They sell them at any Target, Walgreens, etc...
While I never used these for morning sickness, I used them nonstop when I've been on cruises. I thought they worked miracles.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
So do you buy one set of wristbands and reuse them, or are they like a one-time use kind of thing? If so, that sounds like it'd get pretty expensive.

You probably already read this from the link below...but they are most definitely reusable. As for morning sickness...don't worry about it. Yes, there are people, like Jillian (sorry!) that get bad sickness. But it doesn't happen to everyone and it doesn't happen every pregnancy. This pregnancy I would get a little nauseous on some night (and gagged when I brushed my teeth), but that was all. However, my next pregnancy could be better or MUCH worse. Just don't worry about it 'cause you can't prevent it.
Lol I will try my hardest to not worry!
How are you feeling?

taylor I didn't use them, I wasn't as sick as Jillian
I would be fine most of the daytime but once 5 pm rolled around I would feel nauseous and if I ate dinner I usually threw it up.
So for about 6.5 weeks I didn't eat dinner, and if I did it was popcorn because that seemed to be the only thing I could keep down.
Gingerale (with real ginger in it) and gum helped a lot. Also for most people if you constantly keep food in your stomach it will help.
I also had to brush my teeth in small bouts every day a few times a day because once I gagged there was no going back, if I tried to finish, I threw up. I used Act a whole lot more and there wasn't much flossing going on.
But usually in most cases once the placenta takes over care of the baby (around 12 weeks) then you wont have much if anymore nausea/vomiting because all of the yucky hormones are out of your body.
Christina, I always learn something new from you

lol at this
seriously shannon that was funny. But in my head I said "what about a lot of barf"
p.s. I also threw up 2x during labor. The 2nd time that's when my water broke , but I was at 9cm so I guess that got things going the rest of the way.
This is what I'm worried about. I'm allergic to pain meds like vicodin (sp?) and when I've taken them in the past I've thrown up constantly. If and when I decide to go for the epi....I hope I don't throw up because of it.
Tayrusso...I'm feeling really good lately. Lots of energy. In the middle of redoing our guest room. I've got the before pictures posted on my blog and hoping to get the after ones posted after this weekend. Then...on to the nursery.
Well I had a home birth, so no meds for this girl, but I know lots of people do get sick because of the meds.
Apparently I just get sick when it's time to have a baby.
I did too. I think I threw up 3 times throughout the labor
Nothing helped my nausea. Granted, part of my problem was my anxiety as well. Once I found foods I could eat without making me sick, or I got really hungry and craved something, I just went to town. It honestly wasn't that bad. What was hard was the tiredness. I couldn't concentrate after like 2 pm; I just wanted to sleep. Makes it hard to hold down a full time job when all you want to do is curl up in bed.
And I didn't puke during labor, and I had no drugs. I heard many women say they did, but I didn't for whatever reason. I also ate about 8 hours before I started pushing.
