... some of the things that were stolen from my house were in there! The only thing I was worried about getting back, the hard drive with all my research, music work, and Jamie and my personal files, was there!! It's not booting up, but I think that's just the power supply. I can take the drive out of the network case and retrieve the data. Jamie and I are so relieved that this is finally over. Jamie has been paranoid ever since the break-in and then the narcotics detectives saying they were going to start staking out the neighbor's house from our back yard... Jeez! It was driving us nuts...
There were like 40 police cars, K-9 units, and the S.W.A.T team. I was at work, but Jamie was on her way home from the library when it happened. She said it was like a movie scene. Awesome. I recovered my stereo system and the hard drive. Still missing are my laptop and my TV, but I'm hopeful now that they have this guy, they will find my other things.
Woot!

I know, and when I say music files, most people think of songs like mp3s. These are music scores. Stuff I've written for students and schools and some are originals of mine. I would have killed baby polar bears to get this stuff back. And baby polar bears are fr!cken cute!
That's what I was saying the whole time. All I really cared about getting back were my files. The equipment is just stuff.
They weren't very smart drug business people either. Most of the stuff they stole from other people was laying around their yard. I mean, wtf at least hide it. Cars and tractors and 4 wheelers and TVs.
Obviously too drugged to give a sh!t

I understand. DH plays music too and is VERY protective of his equipment and files!
