Re: Tell us about Palin!
I really like her!!! (still not voting for McCain though!).... but Sarah Palin is great. One of my BFF's works for her (kind of a secretarial position) and she says that Sarah is the real deal... always kind and a super sweetheart. She has been good for Alaska so far too- has about a 80% approval rating. Recently, she worked to push through a plan that will give all alaskan citizens (including my kids!) a check for $1200 to help with 'energy relief' (gas prices, electric bills, etc)... so we'll be getting that money in mid September. She has 5 kids and her husband is referred to as the 'First Dude' lol. Her youngest child was just born in April (only 4 mo old)- and he has down syndrome. She is a strong Christian and is vocal about her Christian values. Very Pro-Family, Pro-life.
My only concern about her would be that she has very little experience in the international sense. I just worry that McCain is so old- he may kick the bucket soon and then we'd have Sarah (who I love), but I just think she isnt ready to be president, kwim?
I am sure she is smart, especially when it comes to the oil industry. However, her work with "Feminists for Life", a group that advocates banning all abortion even if in cases of rape or the mother's life in danger--is a bit scary. She will set women back a good 30-40 years if she gets her way in this area. ??
