Pls help....ideas for my BFF grad party from the University of Miami

My really good friend is graduating from a Masters degree from the University of Miami.  The school colors are orange and green.  I need some ideas incorportaing the colors.  We are doing orange flowers and green linens.  I also would like to make a punch or a drink of some sort that is green and another that is orange.  Thanks in advane. I would keep themes and colors to the decor and away from the food.

Ditto PP, the decor is fine for school colors.  Linens, flowers, ballons, if you want them, are fine. 

Food does not have to match.  You can have a matching cake if you wish though, or orange and/or green cupcakes.  Punch should not be green. No one will drink it.

Congrats to your friend, have a nice time planning her party.  People will appreciate not eating all orange and green food.

Thanks ladies. I agree that orange and green food would not be appealing.  Colored food was not what I was inquiring about. 

We thought a punch or alcoholic beverage would be fun in orange or green.  But we are not too convinced yet.  

Had not thought of balloons.  GREAT idea.

What about plain old Green River and/or Orange pop? Or water with orange and lime slices?

How about hanging some hurricane flags?  You know, the red and white kind.  That might be fun. 

Maybe cupcakes can displayed in the shape of the U. 

I would add some white too.  Mayeb white ribbon with green polka dots on around the flowers vases.
