Do you love where you live?
We are looking to buy a house within the next year and are looking for areas to start looking. We live/grew up in the south bay/ west side area but cannot afford to buy here so are looking to move out a ways. It is really important to us that it be in an area that is safe (I can walk outside alone with my daughter), has good schools and has a small town feel with a lot of activities for children and families. My husband works all over but a lot of work is centered in the valley area. Our family all lives here so we wouldn't want to be too far. Anyone have any recs?
Re: Do you love where you live?
We just bought a house in Echo Park. This neighborhood is so complete. We can walk to Elysian and Echo Park, great restaurants, and we're a stone's throw from Downtown. It feels very urban, yet a great small neighborhood and only 30 minutes from the westside on weekends!
We live right near Downtown Culver City and love it! It's a small town feel and it's right off the 10 so close to everything.
For affordable neighborhoods I would like into places in the Valley (Studio City, Calabasas, Augora Hills like pp mentioned) and Mar Vista and Culver City on the westside.
Hi! So I saw your reply and I live in Studio City:)
It is an amazing place and if you are here already or thinking of moving here you will not be disappointed!
