what is a reasonable price for an on location photography shoot
I want to do family pictures and have photographer send a few hours with us and then give us a CD/DVD of print quality images that we can do whatever we want.
We paid $265 for this in Boston 2 years ago and I was able to print whatever pics I wanted and make my own photobooks.
I got a quote yesterday for $1800 to do this which seems absurd. I only paid about $900 for my wedding photographer and she was with us for 8 hours with an assistant and took amazing pictures and gave us them all on DVD to print, make albums, etc.
What is a reasonable/average price here in TN. I'm willing to spend more than $265, but I don't want to spend $1800

A reasonable price is between $750-$1000. I know that seems like a lot but truthfully a lot goes into making the images special and what they are. I won't go into too much detail, but I would recommend Beanstalk Photography. She may be more affordable for you.

I recommend Joan McGee. She is amazing. She does all ou pictures for us. So easy to work with. She's a family friend, so I have never been charged...I can't help you there..but I wanted to recommend her!
