OK....what about Medford?
Is that a nice, safe town? The house online looks nice, but looks can be deceiving online. Thank you!

Thanks! It is soooo hard to find a house. We're going to rent because we're keeping our house in Georgia, and we know we won't be in NJ more than four years, tops. There isn't much out there in the rental market, and many of the choices we're seeing online are either smaller than we'd like or kind of outdated.
While I'm on a roll, what about Westampton?
Westhampton is decent, still slightly more distant from a more urban type setting, but still close to everything. There are some new developments with very nice housing. However, some neighborhoods are not as nice...but I am not very familiar with the area specifically.
I also don't know if the school district is great, but if you're looking for a preschool, there should be plenty in the area that are decent. Oh, and the area is safe.
Areas that aren't safe - parts of Mount Holly, Camden (obvi), Pennsauken (parts of) and some other places in Camden County.
The areas you're looking at are more Burlington County, and you should generally be pretty happy there.
Medford is really nice. Cute shops, good restaurants and about 15-20 minutes from malls, Target, etc. Lots of parks and lakes and it's less than an hour from Long Beach Island (LBI).
Great schools...although I see your little boy is probably too young to be attending schools there before you move.
Westampton is nice and it's not far from Mt. Laurel, so that means it's pretty close to stores and malls. There are some newer neighborhoods, but I don't really know that much about Westampton in general.
Like everyone else said, Medford is great.
I live in Westampton and love it here. Safe, good schools, close enough to everything. We live in a townhouse in what is probably the "worst neighborhood" here and I've never had any problems. There is a park down the street, the kids play outside and my neighbors on either side are fantastic. Taget, Kohl's, Acme, Walmart, Wawa (a few of them) are all within 5 minutes of me.
