Maybe you've answered this already (and if you have, feel free to point me in the direction of your post), but why did you choose the names Will & Dash?
I've been teaching Romeo & Juliet for the past month, and my kids were just telling me about their names and why they have them. It's been interesting to hear their origins!
Re: *Redshoe*
William started as a joke, actually; Ben's parents had a dog named Ben before he was born - coincidentally, they happened to love the name Benjamin and ended up using it when they had a son. So Ben likes to say he was named after the dog, just to annoy his parents lol. Anyway, Ben's dog from his teen years (which his parents still have) is named Bill. When we were very first kicking around boy names, he jokingly said we should use Bill and continue the "named after a dog" tradition. I rolled my eyes, but realized that I actually really loved the name William, and it turned out that Ben did as well. I suppose it sounds awful - like we really did name him after a dog - but even though the inspiration for the name was a joke, it led us to a name we both loved.
Dash was a bit different. Naming twins was hard because we'd been set on William John for a boy since before I was pregnant, but never thought we'd need a second boy name. We went through a LOT of contenders...one day I browsed the fiction section at the library where I work and stumbled across Dashiell Hammett's books (he wrote The Maltese Falcon and The Thin Man, among others - I've read several and liked them). So I suggested Dashiell to Ben, fully expecting him to nix it because he generally prefers traditional names - but surprisingly, he really liked it! We still kept looking at other names but kept coming back to Dashiell - Logan was a close contender for a couple of days, but we couldn't think of a short version of the name that we liked (Lo? Logie?).
So there you go - Will and Dash.
