dining room table?

what do you think of this dining room table?  It kind of looks small in the picture, but it opens to 4.5 x 4.5 with the ext.  Space is kind of limited so we need something smaller, but something that could accomodate more if we needed it to.  My house has an old New Orleans feel to it.  Hard wood floors, white kitchen cabinets - nothing modern at all.

Just fyi...the chairs that go with the table are 24", but they also come in 30" which we could purchase separately & use for barstools on the island in the kitchen.

Re: dining room table?

  • I think it's cute and sounds like it would fit your decor.  And it's nice that you could coordinate bar stools in the kitchen to tie it all together.
  • I think it would go too, but am worried that I order it, it comes in & i hate it!

I think it is the picture that is making me have 2nd thoughts.  The picture (to me at least) looks very country which is not the look I am going for.  But when I saw it in person, I never thought "country".  I showed the picture to DH & he didn't think it was the same table set.  I guess I need to go check it out in person again, with the country fear in mind, and reevaluate!

    Thanks for your opinion though!

  • I don't think it looks "country" at all.  Definitely more traditional, but not country.  From what you describe, I think it would fit your decor just right!

  • I agree that I would call it "traditional" but not "country". From your description, I think it would fit your decor!
