XP: Rubber mulch

what do you ladies think of it?they claim is it safe to use and better for the environment (made form recycled tires, doesn't need tree wood to make, lasts a lifetime) and i've heard its better to have than wood mulch for insect reasons.i need to get some new mulch for my flower beds, so i'm doing some research.

I'm concerned my pugs would swallow it or think it is a chew toy.

It leaches rubber chemicals into the soil.  It also absorbs heat and cooks your plant roots.

AND it's highly flammable, and difficult to extinguish if it does catch fire.

And you WANT bugs in your mulch. Not all bugs are bad bugs.

Not the rubber mulch. It's evil. It does no good for your soil or your sanity.
