Anyone have a recommendation for a place to board our dog for a week in July? I'd prefer somewhere close in or near the airport, would consider NW too. I know most of the recs previously made have been Beaverton/Tigard area and that's too far.
Re: N/NE PDX pet moms
This place is awesome:

It's on Columbia, near the airport.
ETA: our dog is a bit of a diva who doesn't get along with a lot of other dogs, so he gets a lot of personal playtime alone with staffers. And they always give us an adorable picture that they've taken of him playing fetch
I don't think these places are too far from the airport! But I could get lost pretty much anywhere, so double check. : )
We took Nandi to City of Noses for a trial run to make sure she got along with the owner's dogs. Another nestie recommended CoN. It's a couple that takes dogs in while owners are away, so it's a home environment.
CoN also suggested Lazy Dog Crazy Dog that recently opened up very close to them. I'm actually really interested in taking Nandi there, too. I think we might take Nandi there when we go on longer trips and do CoN for shorter trips. That way she can play at their daycare all day, and if she makes a good buddy who is being boarded, they'll let them share a sleeping area so she'll have company. Plus they're cool with her being a pittie, and with her eating raw.
And, CoN said this is where they board their dogs when they go out of town.

I'm the one who recced City of Noses. Candace (the owner) is a friend of mine and she is awesome. Our dog is always beat when he comes home from there. I love that it's a home environment and that she and her husband dote on and love J almost as much as we do. She's in SE, right off Burnside, so not quite in the area you are looking, though. I have heard really good things about Stay Pet Hotel, too.
