How was your weekend?

We did yardwork all weekend! We pulled up our front garden and planted and mulched. So much work but it looks 50 times better! SNL was funny. Anyone see it?

We started training for the race for the cure in June.  Other than that, it was just errands and the usual stuff.  Missed SNL, but I've heard that Betty White was a riot!

We told both sets of parents (mine and his) that they were going to be grandparents!  It was definitely a memorable weekend.

That is so fabulous that you told your parents! How exciting! what a great 1st Mother's day for you as a mommy to be!

Did you do it last year?  Last year was our first year doing it (and first 5k).

No we just moved here last year.  I've done a few 5ks and the go! 1/2 last month.  I'm thinking of doing the 10 K in U city for memorial day. My parents will be in town and I thought doing the race for the cure would be a fun thing to do together.  We did it a couple years ago on mothers day. It was very nice! Have you done other races?

Ours was crazy busy.  Took Friday off, but I don't think it was ever relaxing.  lol  We're in the process of moving so we moved a bunch of stuff this weekend and started finalizing everything (inspection, loan stuff, etc).

I did DVR SNL and watched a bit of it yesterday morning before work.  Hopefully I'll get to watch the rest tonight.  Betty White was sooooooo funny!  I don't think I've laughed that hard at SNL in quite some time.

jglee - Congrats on training for the race.  How exciting!

mands - Congrats on your pregnancy and telling the grandparents.  They must obviously be thrilled.

The race for the cure was our first (and only) race. With the wedding planning last year, work, and working on my masters, I didn't have a lot of time to train for other races.  I'm hoping to do more than just one per year now though.
