***MT, Belle, and any others with NE advice***
So my BFF and I are planning a trip this summer to see Hanson and we want to go somewhere fun that we've never been. There's a window at the very end of July where we can go before school gets cranked up, so there are a lot of cool places that we won't be able to do. Here are our choices:
Buffalo, NY
Hyannis, MA
Cohasset, MA
Philadelphia, PA
Sayreville, NJ
Richmond, VA
Raleigh, NC
We'll do a long weekend probably, so we want to do sight-seeing and experience some nightlife. Where oh where should we go?
Re: ***MT, Belle, and any others with NE advice***
OK so here are my real answers
Buffalo - end of July will be gorgeous, the only time of year to visit there, they have an airport, but no mass transit so you would have to rent a car, the fingers lakes are there so a lot of wineries, but not really anything of note in the city itself
Hyannis, MA - no airport, you have to fly into Boston or Providence and rent a car, traffic can be crazy since it's almost exclusively a resort type area, it's beautiful though and can be very serene. It's where the Bush family "summers"
Cohasset - no clue
Philadelphia - you can fly directly in and take mass transit so no need for a car, there is lots to do in the 6th largest city in the US
Sayreville - is 30 minutes outside of NYC and an hour from Philly, you would need to rent a car and there isn't really anything around this area (that I can tell) so you would probably want to stay in one of the larger cities
Richmond - has an airport but no mass transit. It's a great city with a bunch of history and a fantastic nightlife and music scene
Raleigh - also has an airport but no mass transit, it's very much like richmond, some great history and music scene
