Why do stores do this?

We got a beautiful picture frame from my Uncle and the price tag was stuck on the glass.  Now I can't get the goo off of the glass!  It's so annoying that stores do this.  I guess I have to go buy some Goo Gone now.  That should work right?

Re: Why do stores do this?

  • Yeah, I don't understand why stores to do that either, it's such a PITA.

I have never used Goo Gone, so I can't comment on that.  My Dh uses lighter fluid (for camping), it works great!  Just a little is all you need, then wash it off with soap & water.

  • Yup! Goo gone will work.

Stores usually do it so people won't necessarily pick them up off the shelf to see the price tag on the back. Especially if they are fragile.

Well that actually makes sense!  I always get annoyed about stuff stuck on glass too.  Goo Gone should work and if it doesn't my old standby is white vinegar-I use it on anything I can't clean/get off :)

LOL! Comes with the retail territory. ;-)

  • I hate that too. Goo gone doesn't always work. My H swears by Olive Oil!
Baby, you've got the sort of eyes that tell me tales...

  • I agree- goo gone doesn't always work. I swear by lighter fluid - it's what my Mom always used growing up.
