I'm craving a cupcake! Anyone have any suggestions of places near Glendale?

Avoid Sprinkles at all costs!!! Not even sure if they have a Glendale location, but steer clear.

There is a cupcake place in Arrowhead Mall i think by JC Penny's but i am unsure of what is is called or how they taste i have never eaten there.... so i helped a little but not a lot

IMO, they are extremely dense, and not very flavorful. Its like eating a brick. I know some people really love them, but I don't see why.
Also, the icing, kind of tastes like straight up butter.

Some people like Sprinkles, just not me.
I really love cake and all baked goods, and I like them to be light and fluffy. I had high hopes for Sprinkles b/c they have a really adorable shop, signage, and merchandise, but they were pretty gross.
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Personally, I love Sprinkles. They have a variety of flavors- and each one offers something different, so if you've been once and only had one flavor/type you could experience something completely different with a different type of cupcake.
My personal favorites are: Red Velvet, Strawberry, and Chocolate Marshmellow.
I take people there all the time for work (from out of town) and never once have I had a disappointed individual.
They're not cupcakes, but I LOVE Nothing Bundt Cakes, you can buy their buntlets at AJ's, and there's one at 59th ave and the 101.

Anyways, I had sprinkles for the first time last weekend and LOVED it... OMG.... soooo yummy...

Ditto. I LOVE Sprinkles. So good. My favorite is The Chocolate Peanut Butter & the marshmallow. Delish. Now I'm craving Sprinkles.
We tried a variety pack (4 flavors) and did not like a single one. I *think* we had the red velvet, snickdoodle, chocolate w/white frosting, and carrot.
ETA: Nothing Bundt Cakes are amazingly delish! We've had a few clients send thank you baskets from there. Not sure if they have a store front or if they are online only.

Its nowhere near Glendale, but I love Scottsdale Cupcakes & Bakery (Hayden and Northsight area). We got our cupcakes for our wedding there, and no joke, a year later people are still talking about how good they were!
Ditto this. Sprinkles' Red Velvet cupcakes are to DIE FOR!!! And I love the fact that you can buy the mix at Williams-Sonoma- so dangerous, LOL!!

I'm drooling! SO going to get a cupcake tomorrow (didn't make it today, sadly). Maybe I'll get a big pack from somewhere and take it to Arivaca with me.
BTW, I'm moving here in the fall, but I'm visiting this week. A few friends are showing me around and we're going out to Arivaca tomorrow *cough*and I have a date*cough* and just trying to get a feel for the area. I've only been here since 11 last night, but I am LOVING it so far!
I too love Nothing Bundt Cakes! The cakes are so moist and delicious. There is also a location at Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright.
I loved Wicked Bakery's cupcakes... until their store closed down. Apparently they still have a bakery because they sell baked goods at Luci's on Bethany Home and 16th Street.
Also try Scratch Pastries at Miller and Indian School. They have awesome French pastries and fabulous red velvet cupcakes.

When I tried Sprinkle's cupcakes I also thought they were dense, dry, & not flavorful. I'm not a fan! The cupcakes at Arrowhead mall are delish!

Oh man. I am totally craving cupcakes now. This is bad. I've been dying to try Nothing Budnt Cakes. I saw one the other day (someone was giving it to someone else as a gift... it was such torture), and it looked AMAZING.
I'm also a Sprinkles lover... the red velvet is killer, as is the carrot cake and the pumpkin. YUM.
I'm totally intrigued by this place in Arrowhead, too. I've never seen it. Might have to check that out!
You really haven't lived until you've had Sprinkles' banana cupcake with vanilla frosting. It is like a delicious banana bread (sans nuts) with a sinful frosting on top. Almost too yummy for words!
Oh, and Nothing Bundt Cakes' chocolate chocolate chip is amazing. I could eat their cream cheese frosting all day long without the help of cake!
I may have to stop by NBC on my way home tonight. Luckily, I only work about 1/3 mile from it!
