One night in Dallas

Hey Dallas Nesties!  DH and I are originally from MI and have been living in the Houston area for three years.  We've been to Brownsville (Port Isabel, really) to see family and to Austin and San Antonio for weekend trips, but we've never been to Dallas.

This year, we're thinking of driving home through KS to see family friends, and that would put us in Dallas for one night, if we decided to stop.

What would you suggest we do if we had just a couple of hours in Dallas on our way back from our MI vacation?

I'm thinking we'd spend the night, after an 8 hour drive from KS, and we'd want to be back to Houston the next night.  That would give us from the time we woke up until about 4:00 PM to see the best of the best of Dallas.  Any ideas?

  • We always take our friends and family that come in to town to the JFK, 6th Floor Museum.  Its a good piece of history and unique to Dallas.  Or you could do a Six Flags day for something more adventurous.
