Re: Is there anyone here?

  • Yep there are some of us here. I spend more time on the blended family board because I am actually an hour from Tucson. :)  When are you moving?
  • Yeah... there's a few of us here in tucson... it's an odd mixture in this city. It's got tons of elementary schools all over this place & then the University of Arizona (college kids are crazy) & then there are a boat load of retirement centers around here (50+). It's pretty dynamic as far as the ages of the people here.

My DH & I are the ONLY ONES in our neighborhood without any kids (in some cases grandkids) at our house, so, for us, it can be a bit hard to fit in. We do have our pets, though. There are a ton of parks here so taking out your lil one should help when it comes to meeting new people.

When are you coming out here? Any areas of interest?

I couldn't agree with this more - we live on the far northwest side, and we get a pretty strange mix of retirees (Saddlebrooke, anyone?) college kids, and young marrieds like us.

I work for the University, which is an adventure in itself. You definitely meet lots of interesting people in the University area.
