Anyone been to Lake Havasu?
I think I FINALLY figured out what to get DH for our anniversary...
I'm going to print a vacation itinerary (to stick with the paper theme) and include it in the card I got him. Neither of us have been to Lake Havasu before, so I thought a weekend camping trip would be a fun little adventure.
Has anyone been to LH? If so, any recs (restaurants, things to do, etc.)?
TIA!
Re: Anyone been to Lake Havasu?
I'd like to go next weekend, its my only break between spring and summer semester. Do you think the weather is already too gross to enjoy?
I'll look into Flag and Pine. We haven't been to the Grand Canyon in years... What is there to do in Pine?
Can't wait to meet my baby boy!
Are you tent camping? I think that's going to play a big factor in where you decide to go.
The 10 day forecast for LH shows highs right around 100- I don't know if I would be comfortable camping in that kind of heat. I imagine most campgrounds won't have much shade. Flagstaff is fairly cold at night this time of year (low 40's). Pinetop might be your best bet. We did a lot of hiking when we were up there- along the Mogollon Rim, around some of the lakes in the area. You can also fish in the lakes. Sometimes there are festivals going on in Pinetop, there's also a casino and some cute little shops.
