Phone Interviews = The Bane Of My Existence
Ok, maybe the post title is a bit dramatic, but not much!
I just did a conference call interview, and I'm not sure how it went. I felt like I was talking to them through a long tunnel, and there were 6 people asking questions, which was too many IMO.
I'm also just exhausted at this point from interviewing, I was out of town the last couple days for an in-person interview.
I'm definitely glad to be interviewing though, its a good sign, and hopefully something will come up!

Re: Phone Interviews = The Bane Of My Existence
I hate conference calls. I don't approve of them being done for interviews (from an HR perspective). People can't hear well and they are intimidating to the candidate.
I understand why companies ask for phone interviews, but really they're a horrible screening tool. It's so hard for either party to get a good gauge of the person on the other end of the line with no visual/social cues. And six interviewers on the phone? That's just ridiculous.
Interviews are absolutely exhausting. Have a drink, put your feet up, and relax. Hopefully some good news will come through for you soon!
Apparently it didn't go quite as bad as I'd thought. They just emailed me and asked me to create a model plan/vision for the position.
I'm definitely excited because this is the job in the SF Bay area, but when I was out in St. Louis for an interview earlier this week, I was surprised how much I liked it!
