Web Hosting

Hi ladies, I am totally overwhelmed with the web design and hosting aspects of my newly founded small business. What do you use that is easy, friendly and cost efficient with out involving a web designer?

Re: Web Hosting

  • Weebly is really simple and easy, but I am not sure how professional it can look, I only use it for unimportant stuff.

Are you sure you can't invest in a designer?  I think a good website makes all the difference, especially for a business.

THIS. You can find someone to do this for a reasonable price. Unless you are very proficient in HTML/CSS or are willing to drop some $ and time on a program like Dreamweaver, you are better off spending a couple hundred a month to have someone design/maintain for you.

  • I'm probably not much help since I am a designer, but as far as hosting I use Bluehost.  HostMonster is also another good hosting site.  They only offer hosting services.

As PP said a good website can make a world of difference and unless you are proficient in coding languages (especially if it's an ecommerce site) or have/invest in a content manager/program (Dreamweaver, etc.) it can be difficult to design/maintain a website yourself.

    Hopefully this helped some!

  • thanks ladies, I am looking into having someone design it for me, and do the upkeep, I am thinking this is best for the image and reputation!
  • do you use a mac or a pc? if you use a mac, use iWeb and host through mobileme.... it's a good solution for people who don't know coding/html/dreamweaver
