Just saw your post on the weekly check in. Sorry to hear you are feeling stressed. Regarding the back pains, I already had back issues, pre-pg. Have you tried going to a chiropractor? I swear they've helped me a lot and always walk out feeling much better.
Regarding the abdominal twinges, I feel that too. Our uterus is stretching so nothing to worry about.
Hope you feel better mama!
Re: *mama-to-be Nicole*
Hey E! I was in a car accident right before I found out I was pg, which resulted in some left hip pain and also sent me to physical therapy. The p/t did wonders, though I haven't continued with my exercises.
I have never been to a chiropractor because it's not covered by my insurance. I think I need to work on my sitting posture (at home and at work) and start stretching a bit more. If it gets really bothersome, I'll go see my doctor and maybe he can refer me to someone. I'm glad the chiro really helps you!
Yeah, the twinges come and go...nothing too alarming, just a little uncomfortable. I also can't bend or twist in ways I used to be able to. I also get some crotch pain (haha...for lack of a better term) now and then. I know it's all normal, though.
Do you or your family have any Team Pink/Team Blue predictions? My mom and grandpa think we're having a boy. Brian thinks so, too. I don't know if it means anything, but ever since our BFP, I've always thought of this baby as being a boy. So we shall see. My mom says I'm "carrying like a boy" so far. She also told me that if my great-grandmother were alive, she'd to the "pencil trick" to predict the sex. I don't exactly know what that is, but my mom thinks it's a Filipino thing. I've never heard of it so I think it was just something my great-grandma did for entertainment.
Oh, that's right. I almost forgot about the car accident!! I sit in front of the computer all day. A couple of months ago I bought a seat cushion/back pillow and it helps a lot!! Since you're also petite like me,
, it may also help to have a foot rest! I have one and it helps in my seat posture as well.
It's so exciting that you'll find out the gender in 1.5 weeks!!
. DH's family thinks it's going to be a girl. I think so too but DH begs to disagree
.
Haha, I didn't know about the pencil trick! lol. I have to ask my Filipino friends about that. According to the FIlipino old wives tale, if your belly looks a little bit pointy, it's a boy, if it's more round, a girl??? IDK. My belly looks the same to me lol.
