  • Ok...since I created the poll I better answer it. Being still relatively new to PDX, I still have a TON of places left to try, so I'll do my best in answering.

    List you favorite place for:

    Burgers: Helvetia Tavern

    Italian:

    Terriyaki: Totally looking for a good rec. My DH lived in Seattle and said they had the best Terriyaki places, but we don't know a good place here yet.

    Sushi: I don't like fish (but figured others might, so I kept it on here.)

    Beer: Deschutes (especially served with their preztel with white cheddar/mustard dip. O.M.G.)

    Happy Hour: Red Star

    Happy Hour/Drinks on the patio/outdoors: Cornelius Pass Roadhouse

    Wine Bar:

    Fine Dining:

    Thai: Kinara Thai in SW.

    Chinese:

    Mexican:

    Breakfast: Cadillac Cafe in NE

    Terriyaki: Sunny Hans in Gresham

    Sushi: Koji Osakaya or Dragonfish

    Beer: McMenamins Ruby!!!

    Happy Hour: Melting Pot

    Happy Hour/Drinks on the patio/outdoors: Gilt club ??

    Wine Bar: ?

    Fine Dining: Ruths Chris

    Thai: On Macadam near Quiznos - don't know the name, or Thai Roses

    Chinese: Happy Panda or Wu's Open Kitchen

    Farmers Market: Beaverton or Wilsonville - again, little biased about the Wilsonville one! ;)

    Burgers: In Beaverton - Five Guys Burgers & Fries - Downtown, Clyde Common for lunch or Blitz Bar .. they all have great burgers!

    Italian: Nonna Emilias

    Terriyaki: No favorite place .. any of the stands downtown are good!

    Sushi: Sushi & Maki - Hillsboro

    Beer: McMenamins

    Happy Hour: Aura

    Happy Hour/Drinks on the patio/outdoors: On Deck Sports Bar

    Wine Bar: Vino Paradiso

    Fine Dining: Portland City Grill or Charthouse (mostly, for the views!)

    Thai: I don't eat Thai

    Chinese: Happy Panda on 185th & Walker (Mostly, because they deliver)

    Mexican: Juan Colorados in Hillsboro or Pepitas on Cedar Hills

    Breakfast: Biscuits on Baseline

    Farmers Market: Hillsboro

    Dessert: Cold Stone (I'm not picky)

    **Keep in mind that I'm choosing the best that I've had since we've moved here.  And most of them are ones that will deliver from d-dish.com, because we usually try new places via delivery when we don't feel like cooking.  Wink
