I googled trumpet vine and got a lot of close ups of the flowers but I can't seem to find if they climb or not and I'm wanting a climbing one specifically.

    I'll continue to google.

  • Purple trumpet vine?

    Morning glory?

The picture isn't close enough to really ID it.

  • Need a close up of the flowers and leaves to ID.

  • Probably would need a close up to be certain, but it looks like a Purple Trumpet Vine. I live in Illinois and find Trumpet Vines slow-growing and temperamental, though they might do better in other areas. Have you thought of a Clematis variety? They are extremely easy to grow and come in dozens of violet and lavender shades--plus they bloom prodigiously.
