Moms I need some help....

So my friends baby is turning 1 on Sunday. There's going to be a party Sunday afternoon. Not sure if it's going to be a big thing or what but I'm planning on bringing a present. Except I don't know what to get.

So what do 1 year old boys play with? I'd like to get a toy of some kind I just don't have a clue.... help please

Re: Moms I need some help....

  • Books or clothes!
  • I love when Liam gets new board books. There is a huge variety out there- pretty much anything by Sandra Boynton is a winner.

If you want to give toys- Liam loves FP Little People! Oh and one of our friends got him this collapsible play tunnel- so much fun.

I am looking to get him a water activity table for the summer, too- there is a huge variety on the market.

  • I'm not much help.  Loela loves her stroller for her babies. he he Party!!!

I think a water table or tunnel like Kaytie suggested would also be good too !

  • They have tons of Ride on cars you can get the little boy I watch loves his Little people Firetruck and it's only 25 in the stores!
  • Just brainstorming the things Dex loves most:

Plastic garden tools (they are his #1. He sleeps with his ho. Umm, yeah)

    Bubble Machine

    Rideable trucks

Any kind of ball and/or bat set

Books, books and more books- I agree S. Boyton is great. My fave is But Not the Hippopatumus

Anything with wheels that he can push or pull

    Toy piano

    His wagon

    Tub toys

beach toys- which are also great for mud!

    Anything Elmo

  • These are all great ideas! Thanks ladies :)
  • Big Legos or wooden blocks.  Big sized puzzles.  Play food like this:

Love this we use this at my work and kid love it!

  • B loves things to push around and things he can push with his fingers, that has lots of buttons..  He also like things that open and close and things he can put stuff in and out of.

He loves his wagon and a wooden spoon and a stainless steel bowl to bang on.
